GRFAW Ambassador Program
The GRFAW Ambassador program started in 2014. The goal of the GRFAW Ambassador Program is to present the GRFAW (Gene Researcher for a Week) opportunity to as many Canadian high school students as possible. The ambassadors are GRFAW alumni from previous years wishing to give back to the program. In 2015 30 ambassadors were recruited across six provinces in Canada. Each province has a Regional Chair (RC) that coordinates all activities in their geographic area and reports back to the Ambassador Program Chair. Ambassadors give presentations at schools and other various events about what the GRFAW program is, how to apply to the program and what it is like to be a high school student participating in Genetic Research Lab for a week. Ambassadors also actively advocate the GRFAW program through social media. Ambassadors may also assist in other aspects of the program such as contacting labs and facilitating student placements. If you are an alumni interested in being part of the program, email the following contact
